I am not an expert in steel or in blades. Yet I really appreciate these bayonets with sheaths as appearing to be authentic for re-enacting. I have not tried attaching one to an M-1 yet. But the latch locking the blade into the sheath works. The steel seems to be high quality to me. I have not sharpened the blades yet.
