About this product

Product Information

The short, teachable chapters and approachable, colloquial style of Intro Stats has made it the most successful first edition Statistics text. Professors across the country report that students actually read the book. Now a hallmark feature, Intro Stats teaches students how to think statistically, show proper application of techniques, and tell others what they have learned. What Can Go Wrong? sections in each chapter give students the tools to detect statistical errors and debunk misuses of statistics, whether intentional or not.

Fast shipping, packaged perfectly with care, excellent communication, and great assistance. Item was listed "very good", but was in excellent shape. I used to borrow this from the library as a kid, been trying to buy an excellent copy as an adult. Decided to randomly try my luck again with searching and behold I see this listing with pictures of the actual product. Seller was awesome with providing additional images, and very helpful. Thanks so much!

  • Easy to Understand Math Textbook

This textbook was used in my Intro to Statistics class and I was quite surprised with it. I am not usually a mathematical thinker so I was absolutely dreading the class. Most math textbooks offer only examples in explanation of the concepts, but this text goes beyond the examples. It features actual written chapters to throughly explain the concepts you are learning and the reasoning behind them. The author even has a subtle sense of humor you can detect in the tone of his writing. I thought the exercises offered were helpful and actually applicable in a real-world setting. Answers are provided for odd numbered problems as well, which is VERY helpful. I must say this is the best math textbook I have ever owned and would recommend it to anyone.

  • DUUUEE

Required. Used most often. great condidtion. Liked it. Love it.What more can I really say. Very cheap. I would love to sell it back after this semester is done with. Most useful book if your teacher uses the mathlab accompanied with it. Most of the questions in the book are similar to the ones on the mathlab test /quiz and homework.

  • Great Book!

All of the Stats classes at my university use only this book. This book has good information and places it in a nice structure. I would like the book better if it had more examples of some of the problems.

  • Great book, wrong person

Unfortunately i also got a teacher's edition. I made sure to talk to my prof about it before hand so he was aware of the situation though. It's good to have that accountability.

  • the book is kinda old but overall it was ok

The book is old (i do not remember the original description on it). The others like delivering are ok.
