Jackson Browne - Going Home DVD
Bought this for nostalgic reasons, to replace the VHS tape version I had many years ago. Although looking a bit dated, the songs are for me top notch, and the whole thing gives a good feel for the times.

Jackson Browne - Going Home (DVD 2002) - My Review
This was made by Jackson and his many long-term associates, probably in recognition at the time of 30-odd years of song-writing, lyrics,music and arrangements that have great depth but are in words so commonplace that most poeple will find them straightforward to identify with. I always admire the gift some writers have to evoke emotions and scenes with just a few everyday words. I'm a mathematician, and it takes me half a page of clumsily put-together words to say what is, as John Cleese would say, 'the bleedin' obvious'. The tracks are all recorded live and have a zest that grabs you.They are interspersed with chat from Jackson and other musicians that gives background,and sheds light on his social conscience, without, however, getting into precise details about JB's life and many love ... A treat of a DVD for any Jackson Browne fans. This DVD has been made to give an insight into the performer with revealing interviews on the motivation behind his classic songs. The pace and photography of the DVD is uncluttered with unneccessary editing or graphics and just shows Jackson Brown performing his classic songs interlaced with revealing interviews and film footage from his past career. Great contributions from David Lindley and David Crosby a must have addition for all Jackson Browne fansA treat of a DVD for any Jackson Browne fans.
