Fast shipping, packaged perfectly with care, excellent communication, and great assistance. Item was listed "very good", but was in excellent shape. I used to borrow this from the library as a kid, been trying to buy an excellent copy as an adult. Decided to randomly try my luck again with searching and behold I see this listing with pictures of the actual product. Seller was awesome with providing additional images, and very helpful. Thanks so much!

Very well written, well detailed, and well chronicled book with many references. After reading this book one realizes the unthinkable may well have been (and probably was) attempted - a nuclear strike to start WW-III. With multiple gvernments keeping many secrets we may never know if all the circumstances the author cites in the book are 100% accurate, but he presents a cogent story line and has clearly done his research presenting the known facts about this incident. I suspect being a former submariner the author is privy to more details than the average person. Plus, as a former submariner, he would know what would be "out of the ordinary" on a submarine. This book is very enjoyable reading (very hard to put it down), and quite eye-opening about how things were during the height of the ...

  • Compelling & Scary Yarn

The author makes a compelling case for the scenario he portrays in the book. Very enjoyable reading, and scary if it's true. Highly recommended, especially to Navy members of the submarine force, to which the author also belonged.

  • An enlightening book

Found it compelling and interesting about what truly happened. There is just a lot of inconsistencies in the original story of k129 that just doesn't make sense. I don't know about the whole chinese plot and wwIII. But I do agree that the entire sub was lifted and not just some of it.

  • Red Star

This is a historical account of a hijacked Soviet sub which tried to nuke Pearl Harbor on March 7, 1968. It also recounts how both governments tried to cover it up, while trying to find and recover the wreckage.
