Myths & Legends of King Arthur
After much scouting for Rick Wakeman's Arthur on Ice, to no avail, I was very pleased I could find this musical adaptation of the legend of King Arthur. The CD is excellent quality, given that the main format available for this piece was LP. The album fuses various different styles - progressive rock, classical, jazz elements, and given this eclectic mix it flows well from beginning to end. It is also lyrically clever, with the medieval storytelling aiding your understanding according to the music, whilst keeping your interest. Rick is so talented. I have the album on vinyl and was missing it so much I decided I would look to see if it was available on cd to play in the car. I was so thrilled to find that it was and within a couple of days I was in the convertible with the hood down on a sunny autumn morning with the wind rushing through my hair, engrossed in the historical yet fantastic musicality of King Arthur - what more could you want. So glad I bought it.Rick is so talented. I have the album on vinyl and was missing it so much I decided I would look to see if it was available on cd to play in the car. I was so thrilled to find that it was and within a couple of days I was in the convertible with the hood down on a sunny autumn morning with the wind rushing through my hair, engrossed in the historical yet fantastic musicality of King Arthur - what more could you want.
