    Custom '51 Mercedes, matte grey with white scallops, hop up

    Certainly one of the best detailed custom 1951 Mercurys produced by HW. Part of the Hop Up series. Back in the early days of serious automotive customizing, the term "hop up" was used in certain circles, to refer to custom measures implemented on a vehicle. A really cool customized vehicles is hopped up, particularly if the engine was improved. If Frankie's ride was admirable due to the fabulous flames in his paintings job, Ralph's sweet cruiser was equitably as praiseworthy with its sumptuous scallops strategically licking down the vehicle's paint. This version is a fine example of what aneeds American ultra hot rod big cruiser can look like from the shops of master craftsmend and "envisionary" artist with superior taste and class.
