The rocking motion is enjoyable. The chair has two downsides: 1) the polyester fabric (cotton or linen would be a better choice), and 2) if you twist side to side while sitting in it, it does cause the wooden frame to flex in a way that wasn't accounted for in its design.

I drove from the south coast of Vic to SE QLD, over 6 days, through torrential rain & 38°C + days with it strapped to my old Suzuki hatchback (no roof rails) & everything inside was safe & dry on arrival!!
