Acclaim for George Friedman and STRATFOR "Stratfor was miles ahead of CNN and all the other media…. A private quasi-CIA, Stratfor has enjoyed an increasing vogue in recent years as a result of the heady forecasts and many news breaks…. The web site has a huge underground following, dating back to the 1999 Kosovo War." --Barron's "Stratfor moved the financial markets all by itself when it reported that a Russian envoy was en route to Baghdad to negotiate peace with the Iraqis…. There is a temptation, when you are around George Friedman, to treat him like a Magic 8 Ball." --The New York Times Magazine "Predictions have made George Friedman a hot property these days." --The Wall Street Journal "Stratfor is changing the way we think about news." --The American Spectator "They fill the appetite for international news and analysis that the newsweeklies once filled. But they do it twice as well as the newsweeklies and in real time." --Lee Smith, Senior Editor, GQ "The Friedmans: better than the CIA." --The Industry Standard

AOK. Item as described, reasonable condition (as described), excellent price, reasonable packing and shipping time, no problems. Thanks. (Sorry, I don't do star ratings when some are automatic, as it's unfair to buyers to have eBay pre-empt any of the scores. You should complain to eBay, as your star ratings would have been very high.) I can't rate the product until I read it. It's unfair for eBay to require a product rating in order to send feedback! The guys at eBay are heavily into control.

  • EXCELLENT book

Although the subject matter is now a little dated, it is still a must-read book. Definitely opens your eyes as to the reasoning and rational behind the Iraq War, Al-Qaida, and the general situation in the Middle East. Does a great job at presenting everything neutrally, especially considering what a highly charged topic this is. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone interested in this subject and everyone that I have already recommended it to has come back thoroughly impressed. Read it...

  • America's Open War Against Pakistan

The Book "America's Secret War" has beeb declared as the best book of 2004. As the book addresses Pakistan's role aginst war on terrorism, and America's "intentions" about Pakistan. The book has been widely quoted in Pakistani press, so, I decided to buy the book and read all of it. So far I have not finished the book but the parts that I have gone through are informative, interesting and eye opening.
