  • Very apt

His third book, having not read the first two yet though- this book is excellently written through the eyes and speach of a 14 year old boy prematurely becoming an adult through circumstances in family life and location. The plot is very obvious and there is only really one fork when the boyfriend is introduced as in will the boyfriend take on the secret or reveal to a higher, but the plot being obvious is part of it's charm i think in that this doesn't matter it's the style of writing and the main fact(as with all Mcewan i have read thus far) that the story goes along at a very pleasent and compelling pace to be rounded up in the last couple of paragraphs making you feel exquisite!! Highly recommended.
