    If I could only have three books this would be one of them.

    This is a very worthwhile book my husband and I read every morning. We've worn out our first book, hence I have ordered another! The content is deep and demands concentrated attention, but has enriched our lives immensely. If I could have only three books, they would be: The Holy Bible, Matthew Henry's Commentary of the Bible, and this book, My Utmost for His Highest. A highly recommended book for devoted Christians everywhere.

    Very small print version

    I love My Utmost for His Highest and have had another publisher's version for years. This version has maybe size 8 print, not very "old-eyes friendly." Still it makes a good gift.

    My best friend

    For years I always wanted someone to tell me and help me along in walk with Christ . Yes Christ should be the one But as a baby Christian I needed someone older to guide me. Oswald chambers turned out to be my best friend here on earth . He has directed me to Christ countless times and one day I hope to be with him in the presence of the Lord. even when I didn't read his work he was speaking to me about whatever situation I was working through . The daily devotional that his wife put together was no doubt inspired by the Father. God bless bitty Oswald and the person who gifted me best friend.

    Deep and Profound

    This book gets you closer to God and helps you understand what a relationship with God truly is. Chambers was a man of God in a deep and profound way. Charles Stanley said that this book was one that had the greatest impact on his life after the Bible. Chambers makes you want the deep relationship he has with God, He inspires and motivates you to be a different person. When I first read this book years ago, I marked passages and had ? there. I didn't "get" those things, but I knew I wanted to. Over the years, I have read and reread this book and the ? go away and I am blessed.
