Top quality family viewing
I had only seen part of one or two episodes when Joan of Arcadia was on tv, but when a friend of mine offered to let us watch her Season One set, my family of 8 (ranging from age 17 - 70+) all would come from every corner of the house, or come home from whereever they were, in order to watch these incredibly well-written shows. Never did it talk down to anyone or insult the beliefs of any culture. Always sensitive to the subject matter, but never shying away from tramatic, life-changing situations. This is one of those fabulous programs that has comedy, love, heartache, soul-searching, every genre you can imagine. I can't say enough positive things about this show. I highly endorse it. I learned a lot, including about other faiths, and I deeply appreciate the courage everyone involved had ... A fun series that prevokes deep thought.
One of the best series on TV that was taken off without explanation. The networks made the mistake of showing it on Friday night. That is where dead shows go to die. Go figure.
