  • I-cliker for colloge class

I bought the iclicker for one college class one month ago. Basically, iclickers are uniform products: five button (A B C D E) for selecting your answer to respond class quiz and one button for power on/off, nothing impressed. The size of product is also same with each one: a bit more than 20cm long, 4-5cm wide, perfect for carrying in a pocket. A new battery is included in the new(never opened) package. A reminder for those who are looking for used iclicker is that: be sure that the digits attached on the back of iclicker are clear to read. Each iclicker has their own digits (or pin number, whatever to call), which is consisted of numbers and letters. Thoses digits will be used for your teacher to register your iclicker into the class system so that when you use your iclicker answer class ...

  • A tool to stop students from asking questions

These devices are becoming more and more popular in university classrooms. They allow professors to take attendance and give quizzes fast and easily, especially in large classrooms. That said, the nature of these things allows for cheating and decreases the involvement of students in a class. They replace discussion and expressions of interest by students. Overall, I believe that these and all other types of 'Classroom Assistants' are just another way that the Business of Education is taking over. They are another financial burden for students, further spreading the gap of those who can afford a higher education and those who can't. Furthermore, the use of devices like this, reduce the need for classroom aids and teaching assistants which are fundamental positions in a university. So all ...

  • Does what it's supposed to do

This was the first year I have had a professor require one of these for class. We use it for review questions and it is very helpful. Our class is quite large (175 students), so the professor also uses this for a participation grade, since taking role is near impossible with a class that size.

  • Good for less than $20

The buttons work fine but even after I put in new batteries, the item would still turn off if pressed the wrong way or sits for a few minutes
