    American Chica

    This book was mentioned by Lipstick Jihad author Azadeh Moaveni's suggestions for further readings so I bought it. Arana's story articulates what being a bicultural American brings to one's life experience on so many different levels. I felt she was telling my story several times through out the book. I bought copies for my nieces and nephews. I recommend this book to anyone stuggling or just interested with issues concerning their ethnic cultural and the USA culture. Arana's story details the differences between Latin American and USA cultures in an interesting and delicate manner. It is interesting to read about conflicts that arise out of these differences as a child, teen and adult.
