    Excellent all round production

    Brilliant performances all round and faithful to text terrific atmosphere. Contrasts very favourably with Philip scofield version. Peter hall more Interested in horses than text omitted cordelias most important speech!

    Ian Holm as KING LEAR

    Ian Holm, has excellently interpreted the character of King Lear in this unusually minimalist (as to props, decor and costume) production. What he says with his eyes alone adds strength and life to the character. This is my favourite portrayal of King Lear. Tony, Dublin.
