I bought this vacuum cleaner to replace a bagless, upright model, partly because it was very noisy, but mainly because emptying it was messy. The Miele impressed me as soon as I took it out of the box, with its build quality and functional design. The suction power is excellent, yet it is very quiet - even at maximum setting. The soft-start motor and one-touch cable rewind add to the pleasure of using it. The turbo head is good on my short-pile carpets, its rollers help it to move smoothly and the adjustable tubes are long enough to use without the need to stoop - so my back doesn't suffer! The supplied tools/nozzles are well enough made, but could easily be improved upon....the crevice head is too short to be very useful and the others are fairly basic in design. The holder to attach them to the cleaner isn't well thought out and is of minimal use. A bigger dust bag volume and a longer flexible hose would be helpful, but all-in-all I think this is a really good machine. A 10yr extended warranty for £30 suggests they are confident that it will be reliable too!Read full review
I have had so many different vacuums over the years both upright and cylinder; bagged and bagless - various Dysons, various LGs, Vaxs, Hoovers and Electrolux. This Miele Cat & Dog beats them all hands down. I have 3 persian cats and so need a machine to cope with the long fur and the Turbo brush does the job with very little effort, in fact it just glides over the carpets picking up the fur - I don't have to go over the same spot again and again only to find the fur just moving around the carpet. This picks them up first time. The machine is light, manoeuvres easily and stores upright with all of the attachments in place. I cannot fault it at all, other than I would have preferred a bagless machine. If this vacuum is as reliable as Miele Washing Machines and Dishwashers I've had in the past, then I know I can expect years and years of trouble free vacuuming.Read full review
Our previous 'Cat & Dog' Miele vacuum cleaner is at least 25 years old – and still works, but several parts are now broken (including a major kink in the hose), so it was time for a replacement at last. The Miele C2 Cat & Dog is smaller and lighter than expected. It operates beautifully and efficiently. It comes with expected tools plus a turbo brush, which is a real bonus, especially at the price of £139 from Tesco Outlet which included free next day delivery. I've only had this cleaner for a couple of weeks so will report later in greater detail, but first impressions are that this is a fantastic vacuum cleaner, worth a much higher price.

I needed to replace my 14 yr old Miele Cat and Dog vac, (although it was still working perfectly well)and this new one is fantastic. I would recommend it. It is lighter and more versatile than my old one which is helpful to me as I am getting on a bit.
Forget all the others, Dyson etc. This is the best vacuum my wife has ever used: She said! Okay it needs bags but they last for ages.
well happy with my purchase...and would recommend one of these hoovers to anyone wanting a good quality and quiet hoover as i was....
This is the most magical bit of kit I have ever used . The suction is incredible. It glides around easily and is a joy to own
HAVING OWNED THE OLDER VERSION OF THIS HOOVER FOR EIGHT YEARS THE NEW ONE IS EXACTLY THE SAME AND WORTH EVERY PENNY
