I hate out of focus images or cameras which take photos with an odd tint this camera which we used indoors did neither so top marks. Took better photos than a Panasonic DMC-TZ25 that we also have. Great value second hand. Cannot comment on photos of moving imagery like sports or wildlife or during dim lightinge. Given compact flash cameras normally have small sensors I think with this camera images would quickly become grainy and struggle. It's fine otherwise.

Not yet used very much and have not explored features a lot but basic function is good. I bought mine used and advise you shop around as there was a great variation in price. Several other reviews mentioned awkward flash placement, which is definitely true but I found it fairly easy to adapt.

The picture quality is great - The 20x zoom is amazing - Navigation around the features is 'clunky' to say the least but that's usual for Canon ! For the money a great camera BUT the design is flawed in one BIG way, the 'pop up' flash is on the top left of the camera, just where most people hold it with their left hand, the flash pops up/hits your finger/ camera stops/ must reboot camera/ missed shot = very annoying.
BE CAREFUL if buying from the far east. It came with no guarantee [Japan only I found out after receipt]. All hard copy material in Japanese only. I had to pay an extra £10 to customs before it could be delivered - this came as a surprise. It took 2 weeks to arrive. Next time I'd just get one from the UK as the small savings from the far east are just is not worth it.
Great!
