    Excellent Film, Poor Subtitles

    I have seen this before, and that made this film well worth it for me. However, there were parts of the film where the subtitles were in poor English, the visual things were not translated (some of which are significant to the story), and the subtitles were sometimes distracting from the film while I tried to figure out precisely what was being said. Aside from that, the film was excellent, a good price for such a good work, and I would still recommend picking it up. Just be prepared to watch it a couple times to get everything that is being said.

    Excellent movie with medicore subs

    Despite numerous spelling errors,and problematic translations, this is a great movie. Great time travel/sci fi/supernatural/romance plot. Excellent writing, Above average art. No ecchi elements or violence, so younger viewers won't get nightmares. Get your non-otaku friends/spouse/partner/parent to watch it. They will not be disappointed. EZ to see why this was a huge hit in Japan. "your name" will become a classic.

    FANTASTIC MOVIE (minor sub errors)

    This movie is one of the best I've seen in my lifetime, which says a lot because I spend my living watching movies. PLEASE WATCH THIS. YOUR NAME IS WORTH YOUR MONEY. The four star only reflects the fact that the subtitles are a bit spotty. They don't translate written Japanese text on screen, which may make it difficult to understand on first watches. There is also typos throughout the work, but it is easily ignored. Tldr: 10/10 movie, 7/10 subtitles

    Good DVD and movie but...

    ... subtitles could be a bit better. Watched with someone who viewed it online and they noticed a few parts where the subtitles were different in a way that was not as good. One particular part that had to do with love was not subtitled and would've made no sense to me if it wasn't pointed out to me at the time. Otherwise, good dvd and movie.

    Great art, good story

    great art, interesting story. Directing could have been better, particularly in the first few minutes (it's not obvious when a day change happens, and that's important to the story line). The ending could have .. nay, should have .. had a few more seconds of video (with some characters interacting). (And, there's no 'easter egg' after/during the credits with anything like that)
