    Versatile Mk1 Carriage by Lima OO Gauge.

    I bought this carriage not as part of a Great Western set up as it can be used for but to form part of a Pullman Rake - which in these colours it can also be used for. I am overjoyed with the end amalgamation of this plus a similar vintage Mk1 BG as a baggage car and the rest of the rake of 1980s Pullman Cars + Lima Class 73/1 locomotive. Many people think back to the 1980s as carriages with window ledges and farm gates in use as couplings ... For me I love this sort of nostalgia now that everything is flush-glazed by default. Also these so called farm gates work tons better than present day Kaydee Couplings and are mechanically more functional such as in the way these can actually be uncoupled via use of an uncoupling slab and not having to stop the train ... break the train ... bring of ...
