    Although Justice Thomas's grandfather appeared to be too hard on him, he was instead preparing him for what it takes to live a successful life.

    My Grandfather's Son is a very compelling book. My husband and I both read it and were entranced by its contents. Not only was it historically factual but the storyline was intriguing. Justice Thomas went through so many trials but showed his determination to not let anyone keep him from his goals.Then the process for becoming a Supreme Court Justice was frustrating and emotional even for the reader. I bought another copy for our grandson in hopes he'll read it during high school history class.

    Compelling and Enlightening!

    I was very impressed with Clarence Thomas and all the adversities he had to overcome before becoming a Supreme Court Justice. He seems like a fair justice who does not let personal feeling get in the way of dispensing the law. What Clarence Thomas went through in 2007 was what Brett Kavanaugh went through in 2019 on his road for a seat on the bench of the Supreme Court. It does not seem fair that a man's good name be slandered in the name of politics.

    Couldn’t put it down!

    Incredible story of Justice Thomas. I couldn’t put it down. I have never read such an inspiring memoir. His brutal honesty is what carried this book through the valleys and finally to the proverbial hilltop. Highly recommended!
