    I watched it 2x's the first time ...

    ... I viewed "Trumbo". Very riveting. Actors were really, really good. I'll watch it again because Trumbo is a fascinating character with alot of depth to take in. He lived in Grand Junction, CO for about 3 years growing up (where I live). There's a sculpture of Trumbo in his bathtub on Grand Junction's Main Street right outside of our art-deco Avalon Theatre.

    TRUMBO!

    My interest of late has been the McCarthy Era Days and the lives that witch hunt for communists. Had wanted to see how Bryan Cranston would do as this exiled screenwriter and that incredible talent for writing in the shadows of Hollywood. With Diane Lane as his devoted wife they played a wonderful couple. But then you have Helen Mirren as Hedda Hopper and she stoled the show with Hopper's cuttroat journalist of the day. Superb cast and the flow of the film really was awesome.
