    Good price and quality for the average hobbiest

    These chips a small enough to fit in most any type or brand of analog slot car that you might want to convert for digital operation. They will handle up to a 21500 rpm motor as long as you don't go crazy with magnets.

    Retrofit Chip for older Scalextric cars

    This chip when fitted to an older analogue car will give it digital capability. You can race the car with up to five others on a two lane track and be able change lanes using the lane change sections. This chip will fit most of the narrow bodied cars. It can be tricky to fit to some cars because of the configuration of the car itself and may take some modification to the interior of the car to get it to fit in. I have done nine of these so far. You will need to have a fine point soldering iron to install it. You also need a 3mm drill to fit the LED into the bottom of the car. This is a fun thing to do and is rewarding when you complete it and see your older cars being able to race digitally with the newer ones.
