I never received the item, so I can not say what the condition was. The value was a good deal until I went to order another and the price went up. I received a message stating they sent me the wrong item and they issued a refund, I wanted the same item. When I went to buy another the price was higher same seller. I decided to go with a different seller and pay a little bit more. I don't think I'll be buying from them again. I did received a refund, but the whole thing seems fishy.

I finally got my rebate from the power company
It was easy to install a new wifi smart thermostat and I replaced the 5 strand wiring while doing it. One needs to use all 5 wires for this thermostat. Honeywell was difficult to get ahold of, but once someone finally answered I did get good help. I had everything right except for 1 jumper placement. I can be many miles away and can adjust the temperature with my phone or laptop. I received 50% rebate from my power company. So the price was right! Ebay can save money. Honeywell T6 Lyric Pro (not to be confused with the non-wifi model with a similar name) Buttons on the bottom = NO Wifi
It is a great Wifi-enabled, programmable thermostat, for Business or Residential Applications. However, if you call Honeywell Tech Support, they will tell you it is a "Contractor" item, to be installed only by a contractor. Didn't see that on the box, in the advertisement(s), or anywhere. Honeywell should tell you this up front. But then people won't purchase it. Great for those that don't want AI to figure out their schedule
At a size of 4" x 4" It seems "connected" thermostats are smaller than their "dumb" counterparts. But I like the look and quality feel of this thermostat as it sits on the wall. That said, it has all the features of connectivity that I need: 24x7 app access and notifications (for free), the ability to determine outdoor temperatures and intelligently "lock out" auxiliary heat or cooling, "geofencing" feature to turn on the system when you are on your way home, a 7x1 day automatic scheduling option (just like on older HW thermostats) that can be modified easily from the app, and the ability to add additional indoor temperature sensors and average the values. The only thing I don't like is that you can't remotely access the thermostat from a website (the smartphone app is the only way). ... Replaced Nest
Replaced a Nest 3rd generation after it quit working with our new AC. This happened after a Nest software upgrade. Thie geotracking feature is great. I can leave my dog inside and still get the cost savings when going to work. With the Nest I could not leave dog in house as it works on motion sensitivity.
