Barber here! (been cutting for 5 years now and my first tool was a Wahl Designer) Wahl has the best entry level tools for any new Barber or someone wanting to cut their own hair. They dependably perform without the painful pulling, inconsistent power, or useless features of low quality clippers and trimmers. That being said, I prefer the power of the Andis T-Outliner but for the value you can't beat getting the Hero with this set. These machines need regular cleaning and oiling to operate at their best. I recommend sticking with the brand name oil (don't try and use other types of lubricant it can mess with the blade sharpness). Not winding the cord around the tool also helps keep the inner wiring from fraying prematurely- I use old plastic hollow rollers or Velcro straps to keep my cords tangle free. You won't regret buying this and if for some reason it doesn't perform it might be something as simple as oiling the blades.

Well, for 40 years as a stylist and always a Wahl user,I thought this would be a nice addition to my tools. It was,BUT the quality of both these clippers is far below my Wahl Senior 60th anniversary edition I have been using for about 6 years.Good buy but just not GREAT quality. I still won't return them.Use em till the die.(how long ?)

Best clippers for $100.
Powerful set of clippers for your house. I love these. I've had clippers in the past that have weak motors and they get caught on hair, won't cut and are just a general pain. But these cut right through. Plenty of attachments. There are also tutorials out there for the best methods for a smooth fade etc. It's really easy to do when you take your time. There are also semi/pro barbers that uses these as their main clippers, so that should tell you something. I Use the smaller hero clipper that comes in the set to line up my beard.

Fast cutting Combo Kit!!!
I received the Wahl 5 Star Combo Kit on time and in fair condition but I'm rating it 4 star's for its performance. I would've rated it 5 star's if the Hero trimmer didn't make up so much noise. It makes a mild humming noise when using it, but that's typical with most Wahl trimmers including the battery powered ones. The Legend razor is a top performer and it's everything I had expected for it too be: smooth, quick, and fast.

The product is well made and is easy to handle; however, thearrachments are cheaply made. My hair attachments on the longer setting cane bend or distorted in a way. That’s was my biggest complaint.

Super heavy duty hardware for cheap
The wahl legend is a very powerful magnetic trimmer that makes fades easy to pull off once you get used to its taper lever. The motor on the wahl legend is extremely powerful and it removes hair efficiently without having to apply much effort. The wahl hero trimmer I’d say is the one of the top three trimmers in the world that can cut close with hard edging lines. I’d tried a lot of trimmers and because of the wahl heros fast spinning motor the hair edging comes out incredibly sharp; overall great package deal I’m really happy I’d definitely buy again for a back up pair.

Confused ! Disappointed.
In the box there is a specification of the voltage, it is (220V), and in the product there is another voltage, (110V). It's a problem for me, because in my country the voltage is 230v and I am impossibilited to use this product. So, I am disappointed!
