With a body that's smaller than a credit card, the Nikon Coolpix S01 Digital Camera makes it easy to always have your camera with you, wherever you may be. This compact 10.1-Megapixel camera comes in a number of bright colors, one of which is mirror silver, giving users more aesthetic choices than usual. Featuring a 3x optical zoom with a 35mm film camera equivalent range of 29-87mm, and an ISO range from 80 to 1600, the camera is capable of capturing images well in most situations. The camera has 7.3GB internal memory and connects to a computer, and charges, via a USB cable. Many of the S01's settings are controlled via the 2.5-inch touch screen, keeping hardware buttons and dials to a minimum. In fact, since the majority of the camera's settings are taken care of automatically, all a user has to do is frame and shoot. Additionally, despite its tiny size, the Coolpix S01 offers a number of other features, including a self-timer, touch shooting, and video recording.

    Great little camera

    Great little camera! Super compact, but with great picture quality and video. It only has internal memory, so if you use it on vacation, you need some means of moving the content to another device to free up the memory. Also, it has non-replaceable batteries, so it helps to have the means to charge it with a power bank, etc. Overall, this is a tiny cool camera.

    Best old school buy out there

    I'm not one of those people glued to my phone, but when I see a photo opportunity I want something that sets up quickly to get the shot and the Nikon SO1 is even smaller than a phone, easily carried in a pocket and has both a built in memory and rechargeable battery, super easy download to Picas and nice sharp 10 meg pictures, really all you need for everyday shots but good for enlargements to 8x10..

    smallest Nikon works surprisingly well

    I bought this camera just because it is so small. It has an internal 8G memory but does not use a removable additional card (the 8G is plenty big because the 10 megapixel pictures are about 2 to 2.5 Mbytes each so you can store 3000 of them. The flash is not good for any sort of distance, but that is not a big problem either. It takes fine outdoor pictures. It is well worth the price ($50).
