    Corny, old 90's TV horror...

    This isn't your contemporary horror movie or even TV movie. This is a TV movie dating waaay back from 1990. It's not the most compelling in terms of character development, nor is it any good in types of suspense (which we can all see coming from miles away). The plot is as thin as a shift of the dress' fabric and there could be many plot holes from the get-go (i.e.: how come the cloak didn't disintegrate over the centuries while the corpse looked quite mummy-like?). However, what makes the movie hold is Madchen Amick's performance. She appears sweet, innocent and quite vulnerable, but when she puts on the dress, she shows a bit more of that Twin Peaks' spice. She becomes a seductress under the cloak's power, and throughout the movie, Ms. Amick's the real hightlight of the piece. If ...
