    THE ORIGINAL pirate legend movie / story.

    I haven't yet watched the blu-ray version but do recommend this movie. It is dated but brings back fond memories from my childhood in the 60's and 70's along with Errol Flynn's Captain Blood, and safe for even the youngest in the family. This story is where we got all of the legend of pirate lore now commercialized by the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

    This is a classic movie and tale that brings back great memories for those who saw this as a child, and it's wonderful for those folks to be able to experience it all over again in high definition on a rare and hard to find blu-ray disc.

    Can't beat the classic!

    I bought Treasure Island because I don't subscribe to Disney. They can pull product off their site anytime they want and I got a nasty feeling physical media won't be available someday, so I'm grabbing the classics while I can.
