    Get A Smart TV Without The Big Bill

    If you own the CM7500 DVR+ and want to enjoy the additional function of browsing YouTube content this is the only WiFi adapter that will work with it (according to Channel Master). Once inserted into one of the two available USB ports, within a few seconds, the DVR is configured to utilize the adapter's capabilities. When a nearby wireless modem is found, simply enter the proper key to add several 'channels' to your on-screen guide. Some of the channels are subscription only, but any YouTube channel can be located and viewed at no additional cost. Recording of internet video is not supported. This adapter will add some features of a smart TV to a 'pre-smart' era monitor along with the convenience of retaining the luxury of a broadcast television DVR with no monthly subscription charges.

    Does no pick up all the channels

    The channel master doe's pick up all of the channels as all four of my TV's. NBC will only come in half the time I unhook the channel master and go directly to the tv and I get all the channels. Bottom line if you don't have perfect reception it doe's not work. Then they want you to buy a preamp and will that work? My TV's have better reception then with this box.

    Best Choice For OTA Use!

    I have been OTA for a number of years, but elected to go with a Tivo for recording. They are great when they work, and some details are wonderful with Tivo. However, I won't miss the monthly subscription cost and the Channel Master actually must have a special comb filter or circuit that is actually sharper and clearer than the Tivo was! My last Tivo only lasted 2 years, and cost more than I would have liked, so I will never go there again! They are not very knowledgable at Tivo when you call them. If you are on-air, get the Channel Master. An external drive (USB) of 2 TB size is ideal, but the 1 TB internal is neater and might be your best answer. The 802.11 adapter is fine, and does well for channel info and web connection.

    I was amazed that something so small could provide Wi Fi to my Channel Master Recorder. Good quality! Now if you could just update your manual to show the current configuration of the remote control and provide email updates when you change the software, Channel Master would be perfect in my view.

    The DVR and the USB together is a great buy. These will be paid for in 6 months after the savings of not having to pay for Time Warner TV. We just have the phone and internet and can watch tv by way of the internet, also. :D

    Cut the cord! This is amazing!

    I could not update my software on my new DVR with this, but found that is a common problem with the Channel Master DVR. I had to do a "forced update". Boy was it worth it! Why doesn't Channel Master advertise this?! I love my antennae TV!
