    Quality Jumper Cables for HiFi equipment

    This product is used to connect bi-wire speakers to one amplifier - in my case Sonus Faber Olympica II speakers to a Naim NAP250DR amplifier. Product is well made using high quality QED cable with quality gold plated banana plugs at one end and spade connectors at the other. In my HiFi system these jumper cables replaced fine guage, silver plated, copper wire and gave a significant improvement in sound quality - particularly bass firmness and mid range clarity. Highly recommended and excellent value.

    Qed xt40 jumper cables review.

    Big improvement in sound quality over standard bridges. Just remember to experiment with cable inputs. I had my main speaker cable feeding into the lower input and bridged jumpers to the top and was a bit underwhelmed with the sound. I then swapped cables over and was amazed at the difference. Huge improvement in bass and soundstage. Great value upgrade and neater than bi wiring. Using with Q Acoustics 3050 speakers and Qed xt40 speaker cables.

    Fuller/Richer sound

    Call it What HiFi 'hype', pretty packaging or just the itch of the ears... decided to treat my 20/2 year old system (it's not me you understand) to a full QED treatment. Performance Graphite TOSLINK, Audio 40 interconnects and the XT40 for the speakers. Swapped out and auditioned in stages from TOSLINK up. (Oh, Sonos Connect, Audiolab MDAC, Audiolab 8000P, Celestion 3 Mk2.... spot the next change? ;-)) The TOSLINK replaced a modest CoAx and immediately peeled away layers of fluff and opened up the soundstage. The interconnects immediately brought more low-end presence. Was using Precision Metals Silver Signals 75. Then the XT40 (replaced VDH Clearwater) seems to have rounded it off the sound. Much easier listening all round. A sense of control. So my modest Celestions which I've had for 20 years or so now present a new lease of life. While it's obvious they cannot produce chest thumping low end - what does emanate now feels much tighter and well shaped. I know this was meant to be a review of the XT40 but figured the kind reader wouldn't mind a simple system review - for context. Oh, yes - I heartily recommend the XT40 :-)

    Fabulous cable, I upgraded from the basic QED 79 strand, The difference is palpable! Paired with a Cambridge CXA 61 and QA concept 40s the sound is quite marvellous!! Definitely worth it -as unappealing as spending big on cables is!
