    I read all this series of books 20 to 30...

    I read all this series of books 20 to 30 years ago and enjoyed them SO much. I never watched the movie because I was pretty sure a movie couldn’t come close. True, but many parts were absolutely faithful (as I remember) and overall, a pleasant watch

    A good movie that followed the book as best it could, I wish they would reboot the movie to include the whole story of Ayla after she leaves the clan, but all in all not bad for when it was made.

    Classic neanderthal movie!!!

    With due credit to Jean M. Auel this movie brings to life her engaging book Clan of the Cave Bear. Read the book!! Barring the one vicious sex scene, this movie is a good adaptation. Darryl Hannah is splendid as the character Ayla who survives and thrives the harsh reality of being different but trying to fit in. Puts an ancient perspective on bullying and the ancient nomadic lifestyle. Worth a watch.
