Aviation / Engineering as described by someone who was there.
An excellent book, covers the R100 airship which the author worked on and the related disastrous R101 (which he did not). Also the beginnings of 'Airspeed' - which is a far as I've got. A good read, recommended.

A perfect look at a great writer
Nevil Shute, at his best. Not spinning a yarn, but telling his own story of his early life, the 1914-18 war and how he moved on to work on the R100 and R101. A fascinating background to a fabulous writer.
