About this product

Product Information

Go Nagai's classic 1970s GETTER ROBO series was one of the original "combining robot" animes, featuring spaceships that transformed into human-like robots in an almost unbelievable manner. This series is an update of the original GETTER ROBO and GETTER ROBO G series, which found the Earth being saved from destruction by alien invaders by the Getter Robos, which were created specifically for this purpose by a brilliant scientist. However, after the Getter Robos won the war for the Earth, fear of the technology being used for sinister purposes drove humanity to destroy the robots as well as their creator. Now, someone has revived the technology, causing the Getter Robos' creator to come back from the grave in order to counteract this new destructive force. Contains the entire series on four DVDs and packaged in a collector's box.

This is good price and piece of media for Getter fans but overall it's has very low quality for an anime dvd set released in 2002, they even cut the top and bottom to make it seem wide-screen. Wish there was a new version for DVD like the Blu-ray version.
