In a time of manufactured drumbeats and cookie-cutter grooves, Jahaziwoga gives a fresh atmosphere with an acoustic based style fused with tight brass licks and pure three part harmonies. This Madison based band steps away from the average and the mediocre, and gives the music world something new and enjoyable. By incorporating many different styles including pop/rock, funk, jam and reggae/ska into their innovative writing, Jahaziwoga is able to create a unique sound. This sextet's instrumentation ranges from a Dave Matthews Band setup to a New Orleans style brass band outfit. With their varying instrumentation setups, Jahaziwoga covers genres from jam-band rock to jazz influenced pop. Jahaziwoga brings a new light to every genre of music with this self-titled debut.
