This is an excellent bit of camera kit for fitting video / or standard camera onto. If you want a firm and secure tripod at a brilliant price this is it. It is useful for 'say' indoor shots where you can place the pod on a table top (rather than a rough and ready idea of balancing /propping a camera on books or other objects). No need now to use a full size tripod which is bulky and difficult to get down to lower heights, full size obviously useful outdoors if needed for panorama or scenic/ group shots or videos. Because of its size, I also have small camera 'carry' pouches that can attach to my main camera carry bag and this fits perfectly into one of those. I also have small tripod with flexi legs, which is okay for a smaller lightweight camera but just collapses under the weight of a video camera so this is excellent as it has solid varying length support legs.l Item as stated was very well priced, and supplier delivery very quick.Read full review

It's Compact, reasonably well made, however it is stated that it's Max load is 1KG, frankly it's only stable and trustworthy at about half that weight. The legs can not be locked so there is no sure stability unless you use the sucker cup which completely limits it's use ability. I have already replaced it.

I bought this mini tripod, not to replace my full size and much heavier tripod but for those times when weight is a premium. It is light enough and small enough to carry around in your camera bag. ideal for low level photography and can be used to steady a camera by flipping the head through 90 deg and bracing the legs against a wall at any height. The head does not lend itself to panning shots if used with a video camera as the movement is jerky. An excellent bit of kit and a valuable addition to the kit bag. Excellent value for money.
For the price, there isn't much to complain about. It does the job of holding a camera or microphone. It has a very cheap and "rough around the edges" feel but it is functional. I would not trust it with a full sized DSLR but a small crop sensor or compact camera would be fine. If you are looking for a more upmarket mini tripod, then the Manfrotto Pixi Evo is far superior. It does not quite achieve the same height as this tripod but is much more compact and elegant. All in all, It is a "good," functional tripod.

I bought this as a stable, easy to carry platform for my Sony AX-53 camcorder (a fairly solid and heavy prosumer camera which wobbles when used on cheap tripods), for £8 I expected it to be rubbish but actually it is a solid and very stable mini tripod. The two-section legs splay out to about 75 degrees giving the tripod a very stable base. The tripod can also be vertically extended to give more height. It has a standard pan and tilt head giving full control over all three planes. The attachment head has a solidly made quick release allowing the fast removal of the camera from the tripod. The tripod seems to be made of metal but is actually mainly plastic but this does not detract from the stable and solid feel when using it. When fully extended it sits a camera 8.5" inches (22cm) above the ground. When fully packed away in the supplied bag it is 7" long and about 3" in diameter giving it a tiny footprint in your carry bag. In conclusion I would say it is a perfect light-weight but stable platform to carry with you when out and about. I use it for stop-frame cloud videography without worry it will be blown over in the wind and damage a rather expensive camera. A must.Read full review
