This vice is cheap, and there is a reason for that. The reason is, it is poorly made. When trying to open the vice to its maximum, the mechanism for doing so becomes very tight. This is because the guide bars which should be parallel, are not. they have been machined out of specification and are the reason this vice does not work well.

This vice is a great addition to the workbench and with the addition of a couple of wooden jaw faces is great for holding wood for planing or sanding. The mechanism is smooth in operation. Toying with the idea of buying another so I can process longer lengths of timber.

this vice is for diy only its not sturdy enough and I would only use it for light work , the old saying you only get what you pay for.

Not bad quality for the money, better than expected. Not pro quality, but ok for my home project use.
