Good light weight and easy to use. I had to buy thinner pipe for it to fit down the dip stick hole and go all the way down to the sump on my car. It is a slow business sucking the oil out of a car with this pump but at least using it eliminates the need to jack the car up and risk stripping the sump plug. My new car also has an engine under tray that it a total pain to remove so using this pump makes the job easier. As I already said though, it takes a while and you do need to empty the container a few times during the process. I found that once its about half full, the suction doesnt seem as strong so may be thats why much more expensive pumps have much bigger containers. For the price of something most people will only probably use once a year, its well worth it.!!

Overall it is good and works. But the design of the clip that clamps the pipe and the pipe itself is very very poor! This means you can not build up the suction in the bottle as the clip doesn't close it off as the pipe is to hard to crush closed. I'm going to modify my pipe with a short section of silicon tube which will crush close, then I'll be able to build up a vacuum before immersing the collecting pipe in the fluid, simples.

But not all cars, some you cannot get pipe down the dipstick hole no matter what, saying that it's a great device for the cars it does work for.

I bought this to use on our narrowboat and it's brilliant. It's simple to uae and you can get into the smallest of spaces.

Good for petrol lawnmowers and small engines. For use on cars the suction tube needs to be longer so that the fluid container can sit on the ground when in use.
