    Great addition to my command options!

    I dragged my feet in purchasing one for a while but when one of the buttons on my original LionChief remote became hard to press I decided to just get one. I’m so glad I did, the remote itself is familiar and works nicely but the real benefit for me is the hot spot feature. Being able to control my older LionChief trains through the app is so nice. Can easily adjust the volume and other features that are a little more complicated/slower through the original remote. It also allows me to take some wear off the controller from the little ones with the ability for them to use an old tablet with the app. If I had to complain about something it’s that the throttle knob is not keyed like the original remote which is something I liked about the original.     MY REGRETS BUT NOT YOUR FAULT- MY FAULT!

    I've grown up with all Lionel Trains 1938-1954. Big gap in time until 2021. I knew I was in trouble when nobody sold O-27 tubular track anymore (I'm in a small one bedroom senior apt.) so settled for O-31 Fast-track plus your Lionel LionChief power pack with a 3X5 foot figure 8 and ore train up on trestles. It just never occured to me I had to buy LionChief engines for anything to work! Sorry, butI gave you all 5 stars on your Lionchief first feedback as it was my fault. Jim H.

    Good value as other legacy controllers cost a small fortune.

    Everything works as it should. I just had to figure out initially why it would not link to my train on button number one. I tried button number 2 and it linked up right away. Everything works as it should but one function that is sorely missed is a smoke on/off button. Other than that, for the money, it works just fine.

    A bit pricey but worth it!!!

    So this Is a great remote if you have multiple locomotives you want to run without hunting for each individual remote! But you need to make sure the engine you have will be compatible! So check with Lionel’s website to verify. Also, I did the firmware update (super easy and works with more locomotives than before!

    This Lionel Lionchief Universal Remote can operate up to 3 Lionchief, Lionchief Plus & Lionchief Plus 2.0 engines. It is easy to Sync with just about all Lionchief engines. I purchased this Universal remote because my Lionchief Plus 2.0 did not come with a remote. It connected to my engine without any problems and operates all the functions of my engine perfectly...
