Cons: when pulling from your pocket the blade can open from the blade guard snagging the inner pocket prematurely. Pros: solid, smooth opening, locks firmly eliminating accidental closing on you, dual blade guards, lifetime warranty and pocket clip can be relocated to any side. LE on the street of Houston almost 25 years and owned several knives such as Spiderco and Benchmade. I saw this knife had the double blade guard to prevent you from slipping and cutting your own hand in extreme tactical situations. After familiarizing myself with it and practice I found it to be the best weak hand weapon to own other than a weak side backup pistol. I made one modification to make it easier to get out of my pocket. I ordered a second metal pocket clip, cut and ground it down to about 1/2" length from the screw holes and bent it slightly out and away from the handle. This allows my thumb to pull the blade up easier, grasp it and open it with my index finger pulling one of the blade guards. It's a very smooth opening knife. I attach my clip at the butt of the handle and not the folding end near the blade. It's carried in my left front pocket. My scenario is someone going for my sidearm. All I have to do is hold them long enough to grab this extremely sharp, smooth and piercing knife to help me out if needed. I recommend it for anyone who faces threats, wants a reliable backup that won't fail to fire or is skilled in knife use. I'd give five stars if CRKT already had a thumb attachment for it. I hope this helps you and be safe. Read full review

I've always loved CRKT knives, especially the Kit Carson design models. I bought the M16-14SF model as a brother to my M21-14SFG. They are similar differing the G10 grip, blade shape and serration-type. Which do I like more...can't say because they are both great! I think CRKT knives are top of the line when you are talking about Asian-made knives and really keep up well with US-made knives too.

Good knife for sure, but screw comes loose constantly since the day I got it. Will cause knife to not close. Future reference I would lock-tight the screw on the blade.
