    practise makes perfect!

    This is a clever and simple device. I think you need to use it a few times to get it perfect but it is effective It moulds the sugar paste into a string of pearls ready to be used on the cake. It is a bit fiddly but not too difficult to use and has a good effect around the base of the cake

    Not easy to use

    Ok but doesn’t produce sphere shapes easily. Used just one side in the end which worked ok but doesn’t work to produce beads. Cheap product.

    Not fit for purpose

    I have tried using different thicknesses of fondant but there is no way the beads will ever look like the photo. As you can see in my photo you are left with a lot of excess fondant that you have to trim off by hand which takes ages to do neatly. The silicone bead makers are so much better.
