I used liquid latex years ago when I made candles on a regular basis, I have recently found another use for it, I recently made 3 homemade hydrophones, liquid latex was the ideal answer to water sealing the microphone heads, still the same old useful product, with so many uses, not just mould making. this batch was of a high quality at a reasonable price, I recommend having a bottle in your shed or workshop, use your imagination & find more ways to use this excellent products. Great fun to play with & experiment, I even used some to take a rubber cast of a stone plaque & an old american ornate belt buckle... Highly recommended..

I used this to reinforce the back of a rubber-backed mat that was perished and crumbling. I gave the mat a couple of coats, a layer of muslin and a final coat. It is now stable and no longer sheds dusty rubber. The latex stinks (possibly of ammonia) until it dries, but that only took a couple of hours. I don't know about the other uses, but I have a couple of hundred ccs left if I feel like experimenting.
