A stripper clip holds together several rounds of ammunition to reload a battle rifle's magazine efficiently. The Swiss design for the Schmidt-Rubin was a bit more elaborate than the simple metal clip of a 1903 Springfield or Mosin-Nagant, but it eliminated the need for a paper sleeve to keep ammo clean. My understanding is that the originals were paper and so fewer survived. A plastic copy is sturdier and recyclable for range use or display. It probably costs no more than a vintage paper version, but far more than the metal versions of other rifles. Holds six rounds of 7.5 x 55mm ammo.
