  • Creative

I don't sew very well. That is, I am a beginner, young, and wanting something that is creative yet with my generation. No offense to older women ( I would never insult the quilt my grandma made me) but I want something that a 26 year old would want to sew. This book is it. While some of the designs are a little, well, out there, most of the designs and ideas are very creative and things that I would be interested in sewing. My only problem with the book is that I am not a skinny girl! However, like most models, these girls are tall and skinny. So, of course the shirts and skirts look wonderful on them. I am afraid that I will look horrible is my shirts. But, I guess I will just have to see and improvise. The book was worth the purchase.

  • Breezy and trendy and filled with Ideas to Inspire

This book is fun, full of great ideas that are creative and you can add your own touches, you simply can't make a mistake, no matter what you do! The suggested designs are fun and easy to do, not much stitching required, just a little reconstruction, that's all! The T-shirt is the starting point; the 108 end results - many of which have an edgy, even punk-like feel (much like the projects in Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n Bitch) - range from slightly modified tops requiring no sewing to much more intricate fashion products like the sexy "sidewinder" skirt and the two-piece "teeny bikini," with variations suggested for many projects. The T-shirt has not seen a revival like this since the birth of the baby tee! So far, I've done almost 20 and plan to do more with all those old promotional ...

  • Generation T by Megan Nicolay (2006)

This book is FABULOUS! We all have T-shirts we love! T-shirts we ALWAYS wear and T-shirts that don't fit! With this great book, you can take all your t-shirts and re-invent them. Take the old ones you can't part with and make a quilt to preserve them! Take the ones that don't fit and easily cut & stitch them up in minutes into new outfits! From tops to skirts to purses, plus tons of projects, this book is full of cool ideas! All the projects are very easy and the book explains in detail how to take a regular T-shirts and transform them almost instantly into a wearable, fashionable outifts in minutes! I recommend this book highly!

  • Generation T - Great Fun for your Wardrobe

I love all the ideas. The directions are easy to follow. You can easily use your imagination beyond the 108 ways they show you. I bought it because I have tons of t-shirts that I don't wear because I hate the T-shirt necklines. the sleeves are always too big and I hate the way they fit. If you've received souvenir T-shirts them from friends it's impossible to give them to the goodwill because they shop there and will see them. Now I can turn them into something wearable. Many of the ideas do not even need sewing...just cutting. I would recommend it as a great book for any age and it will enhance your creativity.

  • Fun book for beginner to intermediate level sewer

Some of the projects are way easy, even somewhat surprising that they are included in a book because they are such no brainers. But several of the projects are super cute, yet still easy enough to make in one sitting. The hardest part for me has been to decide which t-shirts to start chopping up first!! It has also helped me to clean out and reinvent my closet without spending a dime!
