Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Sound Cards (Internal)
Sound card installed without any issues. Installed the drivers and tried the Sound Software Setup. Was not working well. Went and downloaded the latest drivers from Asus for Win 7 64-bit and the Sound Software works a lot better. None of the preset Equalizer buttons sound good at all. Had to set them up manually. The connections are close together so large plugs will not work. The connectors are also not color coded so plugging the wires correctly is tricky in the shadows. It is a good all around sound card. Satisfied with the way it does music and my games (Sniper Elite V2 Dirt 3). In the Sniper game I can now hear the sound of someone behind me. It does what I wanted it to do which is upgrade my sound from the MB.
Compared to on board audio the Xonar gives a new meaning to HD. I am using it for a 2.1 system and the quality of the output is great. I have to ask, what does a $300 audio card offer that this Xonar doesn't have? I don't like the loud thup thup of bass that kids like today, I prefer to listen to every note a good CD or DVD can deliver at an enjoyable level. This card delivers that and more. I rate it good, because it must lack sometning that the $300 and above cards have.
More than pleased, blows away my sb audigy. I did not have a pci express slot available, otherwise I would have gone with the DG. These cards seem a bit rare as well. Maybe I'll do a benchmark and post it later, but the specs I read were impressive, driving and set of senheiser 280s,and klipsh 2.1s.

unsurpassed depth of clarity. installation was a breeze. the automatic volume adjustment is totally awesome if you watch tv online; no volume increase during commercials. got to love that on a late night.
