Why I choose to use minx
Im a flooring contractor and have been using minx for a long time even though I know its not one of the better stains. One of the reasons we use it is because it goes down much easier than other stains , that would be one of the major reasons . We do large areas , not a little table or cabinet which is a totally different animal than floors. If I did tables or anything small , I would have a lot easier life putting on stain . In my world crawling on floors , doing a thousand SQ ft or more and knowing how to put it down consistently with even results is where Im at with minx . It's a thin easy flowing product , not thick and hard to work with compared to many other stains , even floor stains that my supplier carries. Great finish!
I do refinishing of furniture pieces for fun. This is one of my favorite stains to se. Goes on smoothly, dries quickly, and is such a nice color. I also use this over different color chalk paints when I antique a piece. Put a glossy polyurethane over it for a beautiful finish!

Wrong Cherry 235 in Picture
The picture that is shown, shows the old Cherry 235 before Minwax re-did the coloring within the last 2 years. I was looking for the old Cherry 235, which is why I bought the product. However, I received the new Cherry 235 which is a lot lighter in color. If you're looking for the newer, lighter Cherry 235 then this is a great buy, but if you're in the market to buy the older, darker Cherry 235 then this is not what you're looking for. Unfortunately the product that I have that needs to be stained is mostly completed with the old color and this product will not work for me.The picture that is shown, shows the old Cherry 235 before Minwax re-did the coloring within the last 2 years.
