The third season of Heidi Klum's successful Project Runway has strange personalities, somewhat strange fashions, and interesting clashes. First the personalities and styles. There's Vincent - creepy old guy who has an eclectic, and yet uninspiring design pallet. Uli is the peacemaker from East Germany. Slim and sweet, her style is summer fun. Laura is the incredibly high fashionista with glamour as her theme - she has seen it all, being raised in New Orleans, raising five boys with one on the way, and living in New York, working as an architect. She's obviously had to scratch and claw her way to the top, with excellent results, but a bit of an edge. Her style sense is pure, timeless elegance. My favorite is Kayne - because he is just hilarious. Admittedly white trash, with a southern accent to die for, his style motif is strictly beauty pageant, which is over the top for most people, but Miss America seemed to like it. Michael, who we all love, is a clearly straight, well-brought-up, handsome, down to earth black man with a well developed taste for booty, as you can see in his designs. Jeffrey is an enigma. He is mean sometimes, and incredibly vulnerable at others. He appears to be a scary guy with tatoos until you find out that the tatoos around his neck are his son's name, birthplace and date. His style is difficult to name, but edgy rock star fashion comes to mind. The fights and accusations between Jeff and Laura are interesting, but only if you've watched all episodes and understand where they come from. Laura defends him at one point and accuses him in another. The most hilarious thing to me is when Vincent decides that his clothes are not being washed correctly and blows a head gasket. But what's so funny about that are Michael and Kayne (think big black man and little gay guy) on the roof just cracking up over Vincent's antics! You can tell that these two can get along with anyone and are both just good guys. These are both people you would like to have as your friends. I won't spoil it for you, so you really have to see Project Runway, Episode Three for the sometimes amazing, sometimes confusing fashion, as well as the personalities that you'll grow to love.Read full review
It was fun to watch the shows I enjoyed when they originally aired. It felt fresh and Heidi was still pretty back then. There are some extras that weren't on tv so it was a lot of fun to watch.
