About this product

Product Information

The first cocktail title to put the mixers centre-stage. Rather than starting with the spirits, this book will focus on key mixers - including tonic, lemonade, ginger ale, ginger beer and cola - and provide 100 classic and contemporary cocktail recipes that make the most of the botanical partnerships. The book also explores the origins of key ingredients, including quinine, lemons and elderflower, revealing the role quinine has played in geo-politics, for example, and the impact different herbs have on taste. In the way that we increasingly want to know the source and production methods of the food we eat, so this guide allows you to understand more fully what we drink - and use that knowledge to create the most delicious cocktails.

A very interesting insight into the Fever Tree philosophy as well as a guide to making great coctaios

Very interesting insight into the philosophy behind the setting up the company and the effort that has been put into sourcing the highest quality ingredients. With sustainability and the avoidance of adverse health issues also a major consideration, it explains the excellence and popularity of their products. A useful guide on how to make cocktails as well as a great range of cocktail recipes

  • A true delight, buy it!

I find the majority of cocktail books either contain a lot of VERY strong drinks which are a combo of spirits and a dash of something else, or use obscure ingredients no normal person would pick up (or be able to find) at the supermarket eg: Banana Liqueur, Essence of Samphire (kidding) or Crème de Violette anyone? This is a book for someone who enjoys cocktails but would like to be standing after trying 3 or 4. Lovely long drinks with some gorgeous flavours - it's a winner!
