Liam Hemsworth & Miley Cyrus
Both make a great debut in acting for different things. Miley steps out of her typical Disney girl roles & Liam makes a fantastic debut into the US acting scene. Very touching movie, Nicholas Sparks writes beautiful romances. Recommend this if you want a good tear jerker!

Emotional, moving, beautiful, realistic story
I found 'the Last Song' to be an emotionally charged, moving story that was very true to life. Having been through a similar situation to the children in the story, I found the movie to be captivating and realistic. Miley Cyrus's portrayal of the teenage daughter of a divorced couple, coping with the prospect of a new father, the death of her biological father and the changes that teenage life brings with it, was very, very realistic. I believe she had captured the true essence of the storyline. Being a teenager herself, perhaps she was able to draw upon recent life experiences in fulfilling the role. I would like to applaud the directors of this film. They did not try to sugar coat the situation nor did they over dramatize the storyline. This is a situation that so ... I found 'the Last Song' to be an emotionally charged, moving story that was very true to life.
