  • Fun Modern Retro Movie

All of the leads turn in great performances and the sets, wardrobe and story are fun, while telling a sad story. It's too bad Frankie ended up the way he did; seems like he has some great women in his life.

  • I laughed, I cryed, I ate popcorn.

This was a very well done biopic of The singer Frankie Lymon. Telling the tale of his discovery with the '50s R&B group The Teenagers. Larenz Tate does a masterful job as starry eyed teenager, heart throb and ultimately drug addict. Great comic turns by Vivica Fox, Halle Berry and Lele Rochon. There is an ample of amount of shmaltz for those who like a good tearjerker but the humor injected in this film keeps it from being a "downer".

  • Great movie

This is a great movie with sadness about a short lived entertainer from the 60's. Loved the music.
