    With some tweaking a great fuzz classic

    for the money it is a great buy! It is definitely not like an original big muff Pi ,for sure, but for the money this is a great fuzz pedal with a lot of potential. Mine has a somewhat undefined lower end; bass content can get a little flubby at time s. Volume & Sustain pots have good, workable range, Tone pot has a limited effect, there is little discernible change on overall sound. Still, no pedal is complete without some necessary tweaking. Lots of info and mods can be found at this website: THE BIG MUFF π PAGE kitrae.net/music/music_big_muff.html All in all I am happy with this purchase definitely a good pedal it sounds like the "green Russian" big muff at a fraction of the price. If you have one or if you plan on getting one I'm sure you will enjoy it. Cheers!

    The VD1 does it all, and for less.

    Behringer has done a wonderful job of cloning the Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi. I previously owned one of the older Big Muffs, and I am pleased that the VD1 reproduces it so well. You get the creamy sustain from the VD1 that is so popular in many recordings. Sure, you can pay a lot more, but you can pay less, and get the sound that you want.
