    Atari 5200 Joysticks are well known to fail because the flex circuits develop tarnish or wear out and, no matter how hard you push the buttons, nothing happens. These new replacement gold plated circuits aren't supposed to tarnish and when used with their GOLD CX52 keypad, fire buttons and action buttons, they should last for years and years. I repaired my 5200 joysticks with the complete kit and now they work just like new!
