    Excellent book recommended for the core curriculum

    This was a practical book narrating about the lean management and its application on two levels. One with lean on Accounting department and other as lean accounting concept of using Value stream costing, value stream mapping, cost associated with the customers value or benefit for the product, practical elimination of overheads and also resolving disputes with the overhead allocations and registrations. This book has given excellent examples to explain the concepts in different depth and breadth. Brain maskell has proven his knowledge and his experience on the understanding of Japanese concepts and it was most important task he has undertaken in publishing this work to the world of accounting at large. Most of traditional costing methods were considered as appropriate and no alternative ...
